Northern saw-whet owl w/ white-footed mouse. 0.5s exposure at dawn. Owl fell asleep w/o eating so the meal was for later. This species winters here in evergreens & roosts low. Smaller / younger trees can be best. They may linger a while in an area w/ the right prey! (Connecticut)
