I’ve fostered fun and meaningful relationships with many of my white teammates and student-athletes over the years. I couldn’t imagine knowing that I would have to be on a team with someone who doesn’t meet the MINIMUM requirement of what it means to be kind and understanding.

Track & Field is such an amazingly diverse sport. We literally spend HOURS in the sun together. We don’t need to agree on everything but we need to have each other’s back and treat each other with respect. PERIOD.

Childcare providers like Ms. Lisa are important now more than ever. Ensuring that they have what need to to be safe and healthy- both physically and mentally- was something that we heard in many of our COVID-19 crisis brainstorms.

We don’t know who needs to hear this, but writing letters can improve your day. ✨

Until this pandemic is over, we should also consider the following: - Protecting workers from unnecessarily losing their jobs - Halting all evictions & utility disconnections #COVID19

We should use our resources to make sure we have: - Temporary assistance for hourly workers - Financial support for small businesses - Support for understaffed senior facilities - Continued food services for students who depend on school meals #COVID19

I sent the letter below to Governor DeWine (@GovMikeDeWine) this afternoon, requesting support to mitigate the disproportional impact this crisis could have on low-income families and communities of color unless we act now #COVID19

Yesterday, marathoner Eliud Kipchoge became the first ever to break two hours. Today in Chicago, Brigid Kosgei set a new women’s world record. Staggering achievements on their own, they’re also remarkable examples of humanity’s ability to endure—and keep raising the bar.
