Maybe the single worst take on twitter in the year of our lord 2025
@MattWalshBlog @ItsThomAnt Master and Commander was the most pretentious boring moving I've ever seen. You just unvalidated your own list. What are you talking about...

Should be a disqualifying view in American politics.
NEW: Streamer Hasan Piker says Communist China is the best example of a country that the United States should learn from and model after. Konstantin Kisin: Is there a country that has done socialism the way that you like? Piker: I would say China is probably the closest

How did Alexander really beat the Persians? Hint: it had something to do with his use of carts, camels, and his supply train. New show out now! https://t.co/kPBvHkFwGc

Trump 2028 would be just as disastrous to the American Republic as Caesar crossing the Rubicon was for the Roman Republic.

The Sound of Distant Guns II is LIVE!! What happens when a 90-day war goes longer than 90 days? You get a soupy melange of nerves, avarice, and confusion. Nobody at the time is equipped to deal with it, least of all the men in charge. https://t.co/7cHeOSMELZ

I should say: it was meant to be a coordinated effort. What really happened was Le Duan said, “go capture that place right now.” The broad coordination was poorly executed.

Seems to be a general misconception about why NV won the Vietnam War. - It wasn't because the NVA were superior. - It wasn't because of the media. It was because the U.S. military grand strategy was bad for two years and then sucked OUT LOUD for the next ten.
@SandyofCthulhu My dad was there during the Tet Offensive. Everyone on the ground had the feeling that NV had shot their wad and the war was won. From a military standpoint, they were absolutely right. They only lost because of media coverage.

Le Duan didn’t send the Viet Cong into the Tet Offensive to “kill them off.” It was a coordinated effort between NVA regulars & Viet Cong revolutionaries that Le Duan hoped would kickstart urban rebellion.
The Viet Cong literally burned people alive. There’s a reason that North Vietnam sent them all into Tet to kill them off. I am ashamed that anyone of my generation thinks they were good guys.

"So you bought more books?" "Yes, Dave." "But you still have a TBR list with 20+ books on it?" "That's correct, Dave."

From the latest on Substack: “despite being based upon a dummy-proof bedrock, in 2025, the executive branch of the American constitutional government finds itself increasingly relying on precedents, interpretation, and decorum.”

I thought the material I recorded this morning sucked while I was recording it. I usually export the full piece to listen to on my phone throughout the day and make edit notes. Didn't do that today because I figured it was all garbage anyway. Just listened back; not too bad. NICE
