Multiple times this morning, San Francisco’s Richmond neighborhood has fallen completely dark. The first time lasted no more than 20 seconds, the second maybe 2 minutes. Still odd to be in complete darkness.

As others have noted, during a disaster with a consequent power outage, Waymos would be blocking evacuation routes. Hard to believe no one asked these questions, until you realize that good governance is suspended when billionaires knock on the door.
This is insane, Waymo vehicles all over SF are bricked due to a power outage.

Historical fun fact: today is not the first time @PGE4Me plunged large swaths of San Francisco into darkness on the Saturday before Christmas — among the busiest shopping days of the year — and today’s outage would appear to involve the same substation to blame 22 years ago.
