since 1997 the chicago L went from 29% accessible to 75% accessible. the ravenswood branch stations were rebuilt for 8 car trains. the douglas branch was entirely rebuilt (at one point there was no weekend service cause of how poor of shape it was in). the dan ryan

We passed $1.5 Billion in transit funding and reform! I joined transit champions this morning to celebrate the passage of Senate Bill 2111, including Senate and House colleagues and transit allies. SB2111 awaits Governor approval, but further work begins now to upgrade transit!
