Yesterday I stopped into Duk's to chat with longtime manager Carol Chavez about the changes coming to the iconic West Town hot dog stand. Not sure you can get more Chicago than Carol -- totally friendly, brusque, no bullshit heart of gold. Thankfully, she'll be sticking around.
Duk's Red Hots will close after 70 years, but another hot dog spot will take its place.

At least two more women have been attacked in the weeks since police warned Wicker Park and West Town residents about a man who is sexually harassing women in the area. He asks women for directions or to use their phone, then masturbates.

To sum this up: 13k additional ballots will be counted today. There were no newly "found" ballots, according to the Board of Elections, just a misreporting of how many ballots were received by Election Day. All of those ballots are already reflected in the current vote total.

Just ran into Miguel Perez in Pilsen helping organize food drives. An Army veteran, Miguel was deported to Mexico in 2018 after serving time for a drug charge. He finally got citizenship in October and has been back in Chicago since.
