Wow who would've thought there'd be consequences for abolishing a fair primary and immediately handing the endorsement to a guy who called American workers lazy

"How could someone have suspected it was him" He was wearing a mask in 2024 in one of the most conservative parts of Pennsylvania. People were immediately looking at him suspiciously

My car hot take is that chains aren't the worst option for routine things if you don't personally know and trust a mechanic. That 20-something hourly guy at Valvoline is way less likely to invent some issues than a guy who owns his own shop.

Just got polled by Action Research for Pennsylvania's 10th District, governor, and general economic questions. The person calling didn't know who the poll was funded by, but my guess is one of Janelle Stelson's primary opponents based on name recognition questions.

Imagine being an Australian kid and jumping on Discord to tell the people trying to groom you that you're not allowed to watch Mr. Beast anymore
The federal government's long social media ban for children under 16 is now in effect. Here are are the platforms and apps that children can and cannot access in Australia from today. Keep up to date with today's headlines: https://t.co/LEXwrNsd4b

Remembering the old guy I knew who evacuated his family & got tired of being crammed into a friend's house with them. He decided that possible radiation poison was a better fate, drove home to the local bar, and saw it packed with all the other husbands who had the same thought.
WSJ: Trump and Microsoft want to reboot the Three Mile Island nuclear plant. Locals in their 30’s are excited about the jobs it will bring in, but Baby-Boomer retirees are mobilizing to stop it.

My wife after giving me our supposedly stubborn baby for bedtime (he just needed to be sung to for 2 minutes) and getting the crazy incoherent toddler who never napped today instead:

I'm not against this for politicians, but I don't think that Moreno (a Catholic mind you) realizes that this would strip the Pope of his citizenship
'ALL OR NOTHING': Sen. Bernie Moreno is introducing legislation to end dual citizenship in the U.S., requiring Americans with foreign citizenship to choose one nationality or automatically lose their U.S. citizenship. Moreno, who immigrated from Colombia, says American

But the district attorney who refuses to prosecute that schizophrenic criminal the first 20 times and the politician who doesn't want the police on the subway were...
“You literally voted for this” is such a stupid argument. “Schizophrenic criminals stab people on the subway” was never literally on any ballot.

Not surprising. People in the Rust Belt are more likely to be lifelong residents who have a lengthier investment in the community. A lifelong Youngstown resident is going to care more about local obituaries & small business news than someone who moved to The Villages in 2022.
Rust Belt cities may have shrinking populations, but their newspapers have a big traffic edge over Sun Belt peers https://t.co/qdepMsCoer

Texas Democrats watching Jasmine Crockett call Ken Paxton a "Cheating Cornball Cracker" (she's about to lose almost every county in the RGV and revert the suburbs back to 2012)
Texas Democrats are really gonna funnel millions to Jasmine Crockett to get the glee of watching her say a few stupid punchlines during a debate right before she loses the state by 15%

If found this to be quite profound. We will all fade away. This made me cry. Happy and sad emotions.

7/7 Today, only 12 Pearl Harbor survivors remain. They are all over 100, and today is the first time none of them will be able to attend the ceremony. 105-year-old Ira “Ike” Schab had to cancel his plans to fly from Oregon, because he fell ill. Remember them, too.

Survivors of the 1941 Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor have long been the center of a remembrance ceremony held each year on the military base’s waterfront.

On the anniversary of Pearl Harbor, here's a photo that will knock your socks off. This shows a large group of soldiers and young ladies gathered at a picnic at Austin's Camp Mabry on December 7, 1941 --- the day of the attack. It was at 2:30 p.m. central time that Franklin

Woman to me in rural Appalachian PA: "No disrespect, but you're not from around here, are you?" Me with my obvious generic suburban accent: "How'd you tell?" Her: "Because you keep saying "yes ma'am" and "no ma'am". People just say "hey asshole" around here."

My parents every week: "Why aren't you looking for a new job?" This is why. I make enough to be vaguely comfortable and would love to make more, but it's so risky to leave either of the jobs I have when the economy is clearly contracting. I feel so bad for new grads right now.
