A disturbingly large number of men are absolutely terrified by the idea of paying for dinner when on a date with a woman. I'm not entirely sure what the fix is for this. I'm not even that sure I understand what they're afraid of. Waitstaff? Women? Making a decision?

I am a prison abolitionist. In California, it costs an average of $128,000+ per year to keep just one criminal in prison. Instead, we could use a combination of fines, caning, revenue generating work camps, and instant executions. This would save money and be more efficient.

Do people who have had more sex partners have trouble with pair bonding? Yes, but it isn’t caused by high body count. The underlying cause of both is being the sort of person who prefers many casual relationships over a committed one.
People who are more oriented towards casual relationships have a harder time with committed relationships. More divorce, more infidelity, less satisfaction, etc. The only surprising part of this suite of findings, for me, is how much pushback they get.
