What is the main problem? A financial system that cannot recover without harming the individuals the system is designed to protect (U3 halting $MMTLP) sets of dangerous precedent

I try to give the benefit of the doubt wherever possible. However we're two and a half years out and, at least from the outset, it doesn't appear as if there is any meaningful action being taken.

What is a literally the only point that matters? Thousands of retail investors are in financial purgatory because regulators were either complicit or unable to do their duty.

What are the theories? - regulators were caught off guard by a complex series of mergers and acquisitions, - regulators were aware and have succumbed to regulatory capture - regulators were aware and complicit

It is the responsibility of the self-regulatory organizations and the regulators that oversee them to ensure these problems do not happen. The calling of a U3 halt and not having any plan in place to rectify this almost 2 and a half years later indicates one of the following...

- Dark pool transactions show prices at several orders of magnitude more than lit markets showed - The hoops required to jump through to make this happen would have required extensive knowledge and careful coordination
