After playing Rebirth, I realized that Cloud behaving like this is the "real Cloud". He only acts like this around Aerith, and she wants him to embrace this self he finds "weak", "shameful" and "not strong enough".
That's what makes their relationship so attractive to me.

Something interesting I found out. The song that plays in the ending CGI is a mix of Cloud and Aerith's themes and it's called "Distant Skies", and Hollow's battle remix is called... "Hollow Skies".
Food for thought, huh.

The fact that Aerith is Rosa in all the plays except Tifa and Yuffie's should make clear, that she is the canon option. Plus, all the references to her story during the play.

Basically, him being called "Hero" represents his fake personality. In Loveless, Aerith is the only one who doesn't call him that, instead, she talks about "true love". Basically, you don't need to be a hero to be loved. And in part 3, Cloud will learn to accept himself.

That it's not remotely similar to Zack's date. Zack bought her bow (which she picked btw) as a symbol of friendship and to thank her. CC is a prequel, and Zack and Aerith were never meant to be something serious....

Such a wonderful character, and I hope she can overcome her tragic fate this time. She's been experimented on since she was a child, and she felt a lot of loneliness. Still, she kept smiling until the end, and cherished and protected the friends she made during her adventure.

Most scenes are CA, the beach scene, Loveless and Aerith as Rosa, the dream date... There is the Gongaga CT scene there, but... That's about it. No dates are shown. And after NPTK, Cloud's theme plays. In Remake they played Hollow and Aerith's theme after it.

I follow the trailers + canon materials. In the credits Aerith appears as Rosa, if they picked her is for a reason. Loveless script is a direct reference to their story. None of the dates are in the credits, so in my eyes, they are just fanservice.

This must be one of the worst takes I've ever read. Aerith has always been Cloud's love interest, even after Crisis Core released. She asks Cloud if Tifa is his girlfriend and he says "No", she doesn't know Tifa is in love with him, because she keeps it as a secret "Lockhart"
If they ruin the friendship, I will be so pissed.
As a woman that strictly adhers to the Bra code, I can't help but give trailers side eye. They did such a good job of actually making them friends in remake, and yet the arrangement of the trailers does NOT serve a good look.

It seems is not the battle remix, but the area theme. But still, that doesn't change the name correlation. There is also a version of "Hollow Skies" that plays in Remake, after Aerith leaves the party in Sector 5.

Absolutely right, it's confusing and annoying. More after knowing which date is the only one they kept like the OG and it's the more canon to the story. Then you end up with Cloud obsessed about Aerith in the ending, and many people missing their development.
