The hunger strikers are at risk of death. I asked the minister if he would do the bare minimum and meet their lawyers — a demand shared by over 50 MPs and Peers. His response? “No”. MPs laughed along. They should be ashamed of themselves.

There is no justification on earth for killing a child and crushing his body with a tank. Killing Palestinians isn’t enough for them, they have to desecrate their bodies too. That’s the level of dehumanization we’re witnessing.

Prisoners have been jailed for direct action by Palestine Action. Some have been on remand for over a year. 8 people have gone on hunger strike in protest. The government should drop these anti-democratic terrorism charges, and prisoners should be bailed before trials for damage.
