Green group have abstained on the budget vote as we did not bring an alternative budget. So cannot in good conscience vote against the Three Towns Alliance proposal. We need full system change not tinkering around the edges.

Hey @PostOffice why have I just been into a branch and quoted >£40 untracked >£60 tracked and >£90 priority for sending a parcel when I can get the exact same service starting at £15.79 booking online? How is this fair to people without online access or online literacy?

The Green Party cares deeply about the climate. It has never been - and never will be - *only* about the climate. There's no environmental justice without racial, social & economic justice. Speaking out against the atrocities in Gaza is absolutely a Green value.
@ZackPolanski It would be good if your party could focus on environmental, biodiversity, animal welfare and climate change issues instead of Gaza. I used to think this was what The Green Party was about.

Why the whole council tax system needs reforming or better still scrapping altogether and replaced with a local income tax or land and wealth tax.
From the Economist: Buckingham Palace, valued at ~£1 billion, sits in band H and is charged £1,828 by Westminster City Council, less than an average three-bedroom property in Blackpool. In 2024, 46 per cent of households in England will pay more in council tax than the Palace.

Well. The climate minister (Graham Stuart) is being flown all the way back from Cop28 in Dubai to vote for the Rwanda bill, then flown straight back. So dragged from the final negotiations at a climate change summit, via a 8,700-mile round flight, for a single vote. Telling.
