Gov. Newsom today signed new partnership with tech giants to ramp up AI education in California HS and college classrooms. It’s at zero cost to the taxpayer. The governor couldn’t speak immediately to savings with specific contracts, but overall expects it to be in billions.

New: CA Secretary of State's office confirms CALeg needs to declare special election on redistricting by Aug. 22 if they want it to be on Nov. 4. They're on recess until the 18th. Lawmakers will have five days to finalize maps, ballot initiative and take public comment.

“Mess with Texas”. California Democrats are plowing ahead with plan to do just that. Not clear how transparent this will be, with sources saying Congressional Dems and their consultants are actually drawing the maps behind closed doors, not CALeg. CALeg would have days to act.
