Why do we put so much pressure on ourselves that the only way to “make memories” requires an airplane? Started Qigong lately - gratitude and being present has really helped ground me. Make memories every moment.

A letter from Josh, 46 years old, on dying. I need you to understand something. Not because I want sympathy. Because I need to stop being alone in this. I am dying. Not tomorrow. Not today. But this disease is trying to kill me, and I live with that fact every single minute.

As my friend @MommHasCancer said, be selfish with the time you have. This includes friends who aren’t strong enough to stick by you. I did some clean up today and archived my cancer ghosters. Delightfully liberated, I need more who support, not disappoint.

It is unfortunate that the biennial Canadian Cancer Research Conference is no longer hybrid. As someone on disability, I certainly can’t afford the 4 digit price tag. Hybrid would have been a great gesture of commitment to inclusion. @cancerstratCA

Canada is on the verge of adopting a national standard requiring N95s in healthcare—and your voice can help make it happen. This proposed CSA standard would: - Require N95s (or equally protective alternatives) for all healthcare workers, patients, and visitors. - Protect the

Great data for first line, options that were not available to me 2.5 yrs ago. Big Q for me, how do I work with my onc team to make sure we hit these persister cells post-1st line? So many of us looking at this data going “ugh, missed opportunities for us!”
FLAURA2 press release: addition of chemotherapy to 1L osimertinib in #EGFR NSCLC improves overall survival. Already approved based on significant PFS benefit. Awaiting data to see degree of OS benefit to consider vs MARIPOSA. Important positive update! https://t.co/i71Zkm6jnM

Can we talk about the terminology “cancer survivors”? It usually implies that people had curative, earlier stage cancers and are now living “life after cancer”. The rest of us are “cancer patients” Sorry, not sorry, ppl w advanced cancers are survivors too

It is not just false, but also ridiculous. You must be fully vaccinated against measles (or otherwise show immunity) as part of the Canadian immigration medical exam.
There have been a number of replies to this post claiming the cause of our current measles outbreak is ‘unvaccinated immigrants’. The public health agency of Canada confirms that this is false. The vast majority of cases are Canadians who have not been vaccinated.

It’s not a tan, it is hyperpigmentation due to cancer treatments. Anyone feel like they should have a drug side effect bingo card? @ThanksCancer

The irony of holding an in-person conference for advocates to improve digital skills. Missed opportunities for those who cannot make it physically, but I guess our voices are so small we don’t matter. https://t.co/bgoZs0ivkE

It is very disappointing to see some cancer conferences remove hybrid options. My voice still matters. Like @CCRAlliance in November.
