How fast do JS Engines perform on a low end mobile device? I have always been curious hence I ran some benchmarks on my mother's Samsung A03 and the results are really interesting. To keep things fair, I had to disable V8's JIT to compare it's performance with other JS engines.

NativeScript for web @NativeScript NS-Vite-Vue for web demo Addition: I haven't finished all the work, but I will continue. I think NativeScript will make Vue get the real Vue Native. https://t.co/CLOR6fqGxs

Kind of crazy that this Flappy Bird example runs identically across web and native. 🔹Web using the canvas 2D context. 🔹NativeScript using @nativescript/canvas 2D context to render via Skia. ~99% of the code (draw loop + assets) is shared between platforms. Practically 1:1.

After 6+ years of failed experiments, it's finally working. Direct native API access from JS in React Native 🥹 Access the full iOS SDK – like a native dev. Cross threads – like a native dev. Today, my brother in JavaScript, you are a native dev.

@grabbou @_ikswodarap All from a single React component 👀 For an 8 MB payload, that means: - base64 → ~79 ms 🐢 - direct ArrayBuffer → ~1 ms 🚀 - less language context hops. A stackblitz to play with: https://t.co/mI6doxbQob Thanks to the entire team at Callstack's work on Node API, maybe one

Exceptional talent from Sam 💯 Let's render via Three.js natively on iOS + Android: - Matching AppScene + Shader - Video (AVPlayer & Exoplayer) - Canvas element (web interop) Repo below
I reverse engineered Apple's thermal logo effect. It’s a Three.js shader that combines 4 inputs: - A video texture heat map - A mouse-driven heat map - An Apple logo mask - A thermal-style color palette Explanation below

Hey! WebGL shader gradients running in NativeScript! Built exactly like you would for the web - but rendered natively with OpenGL via @nativescript/canvas by @triniwiz.

NativeScript orchestrates logic directly from JavaScript into both iOS & Android - so your JS can drive native UI and behavior. Squircles. Shared code. Both platforms. Stackblitz👇
