Big news! Connecticut just ended prison gerrymandering today for state/local redistricting, via SB753. This is the practice of counting incarcerated people at prison locations, which skews power and representation. This is the 10th state to do this, in time for the 2020s maps.

Connecticut’s system of prison gerrymandering distorts the redistricting process and deprives Connecticut communities of fair and equal representation. We support abolishing prison gerrymandering in #Connecticut. #FairMaps #ctleg
