We simply don’t have anyone able to take the lead currently, so we’ve decided to simply be ‘Young Christian Climate Friends’ until such a time as someone expresses an interest in picking things up again. Is that you? Get in touch by emailing hello.yccn@gmail.com to let us know!

Over the last few days, I’ve been sitting and praying with Christians in Jerusalem. Please hear the cry of our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land: For the protection of innocent people and places of refuge. For the de-escalation of violence. For justice and peace.

"Approving Rosebank is a climate and financial disaster." "Exploiting Rosebank’s reserves will not have an impact on UK fuel prices, nor will it make us more energy independent" Conservative MP Chris Skidmore slams Suank's decision to approve Rosebank👇 https://t.co/OECv8Wgcpk

The approval of #Rosebank is environmental vandalism & a desecration of the world God gave us to steward. This decision by ⁦@RishiSunak⁩’s Gov’t is opposed by 500+ UK Church leaders, including 68 Anglican & Catholic bishops. It will be challenged.

🚨The UK taxpayer is covering 91% the cost of developing Rosebank. Rosebank's owner Equinor is set to receive £3.75 BILLION in tax breaks for the field. Equinor made £62 BILLION in profits last year. Rishi Sunak is subsidising a filthy rich oil giant to produce oil for export

This is good news - but a fair & fast transition needs to happen far sooner... In order to seize the "rapidly closing window of opportunity" (IPCC) to limit global heating to 1.5C, carbon emissions need to halve globally by 2030 @YCCNetwork @CTBI @JRayI https://t.co/AkvVpgJ0dx

Global fossil fuels to peak this decade @IEA @fbirol Big shift on oil, which will now peak "before 2030" – last yr it was "in mid-2030s" Peaks "underline economic & financial risks of major new oil & gas projects – on top of glaring risks for climate" https://t.co/yHG1QTAyYJ
