The Rwanda policy being scrapped is very welcome decision - but the task of rebuilding our asylum system to meet the challenges of this century is immense. The @churchofengland will keep calling for an effective system that treats people with dignity, prevents dangerous.
I heartily welcome the PM's confirmation today that 'the Rwanda Policy is dead and buried'-I hope the needs of vulnerable people caught by the Illegal Migration Act will now be addressed, safe&legal routes opened up, international cooperation furthered and criminal gangs tackled.
