2:19:13. I went for the trials standard. Out in 68:44. Fought like hell til the end. I’m so proud of this. From running 4:52/10:26 in high school to a 2:19 guy. Running rocks man.

I’ve been a pretty consistent Spotify Discover Weekly guy for years and I’ve recently started noticing that it’s been recommending a lot of artists with like maybe 1000 monthly listeners. The music is awesome but this has never been the case in like 7ish years of using it.

I just looked up the fastest time to finish third at a 800m US Champs: . 1992- 1:43.97 Jose Parilla .2012- 1:43.97 Brandon Johnson.2024- 1:43.97 Brandon Miller. Fastest time to not finish top 3 was George Kersh in 1992 with a 1:44:00 then it’s Hoey in 2024 with his 1:44:12. Wat.

The funny thing is that the gamble should’ve worked out given the field on paper. 1:43.06 wins every US Championship aside from 92/24. No one thought you’d see a 16 year old run 1:42. That’s why you run the race.
@tiga_style @B_Holmer Absolutely. Hoey had the PR to back up that attack, but it is a risk. That’s racing, it’s beautiful. Without it we most certainly would not have gotten the Brazier PB and Coop’s run.
