You can add mass shootings to the list of things that people have given up on solving. This is why people on here just pivot to focusing on the demographic of the shooter, to mysticize the problem.
American politics makes more sense when you consider that masses of people have given up on the idea of political change making life better and instead embrace it being a weapon of cruelty against people who hate.

The benefit of walking is you can do a ton more. because running is hard. Now, if he had said "i'd rather walk 6 miles than run 2," I would respect that.

I'll hand it to world athletics, the mile steeplechase is almost a good event. Just needs a small tweak to improve efficiency: take away the barriers. Then we have a perfect event.
