It really is exactly what it looks like. A lot of people are working very hard to convince you it isn't, but it is.

Regarding something hundreds of people immediately warned me about "well how was I supposed to see that coming?".

I love this, because yes, people are not seers, but people did predict this outcome with near perfect clarity, and when people consistently do that, I tend to assume they are clever people, and when they do not, I think they are not.

Blimey! Corbyn says Labour expelled him with a note saying that if he was upset, he could ring the Samaritans, and they gave him the Samaritans' number.

Very clear that the cops just interpret "disruption" to mean whatever they want it to mean. Which is exactly what people warned about.

The conditions will:. - Stop the banging of pots and pans which causes significant disruption to people in the area. - Ensure microphones and speakers are only used for speeches. - See the assembly take place in the area identified on the map below

Rookie mistake really, should've threatened someone like Sadiq Khan specifically. Probably would've gotten away with it.

The funniest thing about 90% of Lucy Connolly's defenders is they clearly haven't even read the post she got arrested for, which clearly states this:

It's incredibly convenient for the establishment that far right conspiracies superficially resemble actual issues, so they end up being able to say this while arresting 400+ people for their political views.

I grew up in Franco’s Spain. I visited Pinochet’s Chile and had friends who were tortured by the dictatorship in Argentina. I met Alexei Navalny many times and witnessed the trial of Mikhail Khodorkovsky. We don’t have political prisoners in this country.

A notable difference between the BBC's coverage of this and Novara's is that Novara linked directly to the "threatening" instagram post so that everyone can see how inoffensive it is:.

The NYT have now explained why they kept quiet about seeing the mayor's staff handing out bribes and it's, bizarre? Apparently the sitting mayor handing out bribes *while running for re-election* is merely a small part of a broader story about China

A while back I got into an argument with a couple of deeply weird Starmtroopers who insisted that prices going from £2 to £3 was actually a decrease. I'd like to congratulate them on their new job writing Keir's tweets.

Our Plan for Change is about putting working people first. The £3 bus fare cap has already cut costs for families. We’re extending it — making travel simpler, cheaper and better for everyone.

Ghislaine Maxwell was asked if her father "worked for any intelligence agency" (lots of speculation that he worked with the Mossad). She said "once you've been an intelligence officer, you're kind of -- always; it doesn't mean that you're formally employed." Full answer below

Update: following several complaints, the BBC has amended its copy to say that Lord Pannick is a patron of UKLFI – in the 7th paragraph of the piece. If the BBC were truly impartial, the headline would be: "Pro-Israel lobbyists criticise govt's plans to recognise Palestine."

Ofcom is letting GB News get away with calls to shoot disabled people and anti trans slurs because it's "in line with audience expectations for this channel". If the regulator won't regulate, then why do they exist?.
