“Workers against the bosses” is not so much rhetoric as the founding principle on which the party you’re an MP for was built.

An outstanding piece on how Andrea Egan’s victory breaks the grip of zombie Blairism on the country’s largest trade union.

Andrea Egan’s victory in Unison’s leadership election is a win for millions of workers whose lives have played second fiddle to Labour’s right-wing careerists for too long — and could lead to a revival of British trade unionism.

Eagan was given the boot for apparently being “incompatible with Labour values”. Funny how flexible those values are now she leads a union of 1.3 million members.

Andrea Eagan was unfairly expelled from Labour for sharing a Facebook article. Now that she leads the country’s largest trade union, these clowns think she should plead to be let back in. If anyone should be begging, it’s them.

This is a generous acceptance announcement from Andrea. I sincerely hope she applies to rejoin the Labour Party and that she is welcomed back by our National Executive Committee.

Keir Starmer just gave a dismissive non-answer to Jeremy Corbyn's PMQ about the Palestine hunger strikers at risk of death. Breathtakingly arrogant and cruel.

“To her fans, Swift’s billionaire status makes her an inspiration, not a part of the problem; and anyone who implies otherwise must just be a misogynist who can’t stand to see a #girlboss win.”

Despite becoming a progressive favourite in recent years, Taylor Swift’s billionaire feminism has always been a vibes-only endeavour guided by consumerism and the girl boss ethic. Is it now shading into something yet more sinister?

It is undignifying for wealthy politicians to accuse one another of thinking they are too good to wipe people’s bums. Adult social care is physically and emotionally demanding work for poverty wages. None of them would do it.

Thanks for this, Zack. I don’t think there’s much particularly wrong with picking up papers when someone’s dropped them. But maybe that’s also beneath you, like wiping people’s bums seems to be, too?

Always find it strange when people argue that social care should be well paid AND we need immigrants to do it. Adult social care relies on migrant labour precisely because of low wages and poor conditions.

Blocking the only politician who could avert electoral annihilation is madness. The Labour right would rather burn the party to the ground than allow anyone outside their faction to lead it.

Andy Burnham could be blocked from standing for parliament because of gender balance concerns. Labour PLP is 54% male and it is unlikely a man will shortlisted as a potential candidate in any forthcoming by-election, NEC source tells @EthanCroft98.

There is an alarming number of people within the Labour Party who seem convinced that every problem facing both the party and the country can be solved by installing a former soldier as prime minister.

Magnesiacore. Indoor Pool Drywall and Ceilings is a True Marine Wallboard. When it comes to indoor pools, natatoriums, or other enclosed spaces with high humidity and the moist chemical exposure it entails, you need a construction board that can withstand these elements.
