He'll say he's robust, that he just wants results. Well the results on courts, probation, rape charging on his watch disprove this point. He's a useless Justice Sec and by these accounts he's also dreadful to work for. Also he was woeful on Afghanistan too in a different job
EXCL: Dominic Raab facing much broader bullying investigation than originally anticipated with at least 24 civil servants involved in formal complaints against him. Govt insiders believe severity of claims means DPM will struggle to survive in post. https://t.co/V9YrVyiQGm

A quarter of courts idle. The largest ever backlog. Rape trials delayed for 5 years. Crumbling Court buildings. Looming action by Prosecutors. A Lord Chancellor under investigation. Going well then.
📈Today, 21 December 2022, 125 out of the 498 Crown Court Rooms in England & Wales will not be sitting. That's 25% of them. #courtstats #CS21122022

An amazing state of affairs when the state's appeal against decisions to release remand prisoners due to the State's failure to properly fund their lawyers, cannot be heard due to the State's failure to fund their lawyers.

@AntoniaRomeoUK @DominicRaab @MoJGovUK You have delivered nothing other than chaos, and you should not use a civil service account to spread politically partisan misinformation.

Excellent piece as always from @Joanna__Hardy on why the ongoing refusal by @DominicRaab to engage & resolve this crisis hits hard at the vulnerable in the criminal justice system- those adults & kids barristers represent & give voice to in the crumbling criminal justice system.
‘The cases that keep me up at night are of those people hauled through this cold system who did precisely nothing wrong. They sit in court, wide-eyed, never thinking a dock was somewhere for someone like them.’ @Joanna__Hardy in this week’s diary.

This is @JoSidhuQC signing off as Chair. Have served under a few chairs now & think he will be considered one of the greats. We owe him a debt of honour & our gratitude. He passes the torch on to @Kirsty_Brimelow who will ensure that the flame continues to burn brightly.

Jayne Butler, the chief executive of Rape Crisis England & Wales makes clear that the disastrous failure of criminal justice cannot be suggested to be due to barristers’ action. Barristers are forced to take action to stop complete collapse of CJS. Backlog 41000 pre-pandemic.

Well done labour! 🙄 127 CPS lawyers will really solve the crisis in the CJS. When are they going to speak out properly on this issue? And with a former DPP as leader. To say it’s disappointing doesn’t even come close…
I see that Labour's idea of helping the crisis in the CJS is to dumb down the processes. Absolute bin fire. 🙄 Labour vows to get ‘all hands on deck’ to tackle courts backlog

Once again, the govt in the minority…. But still not listening to the experts in their field.
Well, well, well… worth shortening your holiday for, @DominicRaab?
