What he means is we haven’t *listened*. I beg your pardon for using that in the way govt does after atrocities and major hospital scandals occur.

The reaction to Digital ID shows the government still hasn’t explained it clearly. This is about security, not control. Other countries are moving ahead; Britain can’t afford to fall behind. I may have to write about this again soon.

Southern trains were cancelled yesterday because they couldn’t keep to timetable if they had to drive very slowly over broken rails at St Denys. The junction at Havant was closed completely last week. Creating a new entity isn’t an achievement. See Great British Energy, Neso….

We're building a railway that's fit for Britain's future - owned by the public, for the public. Today, we're introducing the Railways Bill into @HouseofCommons to set up Great British Railways and deliver a simpler, more reliable rail network.

You know when you hope things are ok and in some cases getting better because that should be how things go? Well, no they aren’t. It’s just awful and it isn’t about money.

Station announcement at Havant: Due to a problem with station lighting at Liphook trains will not be stopping there. Why can’t someone keep the lights on at stations? It’s essential infrastructure and there should be back up systems or fast solutions.

If you never travel by train this might be another awful attack but for those of us who do, there’s a layer of understanding of not being able to get off a moving train to escape and it also not being ok to stop in the middle of nowhere. The driver and guard have few choices.

This might be reasonable if no other people in this country had been killed in isolated incidents by a marauding man with a knife. He thinks we’re tough so will put up with it and Keir will call us far right if we complain. This is an awful state of affairs.

Can you imagine the energy bills of a steel maker per day, let alone per year and then what tiny figure £420m split between them - or each - must be. It’s all fugazi-fugayzi at this point.

We're putting British businesses first - supporting UK industry by slashing energy bills as part of our Industrial Strategy. Around 500 of the UK’s most energy-intensive firms are set to save up to £420m p/yr on bills from next April, incl. steelmakers. https://t.co/1f0zcReTtK

If you have a home supplied by electricity and no gas, Ed is going to keep adding cost onto your standing charge and kWh rate until you can’t afford your bills. You may as well just not pay like all the other people whose bills you are subsidising.

Keeping ALL children in education to 18 is expensive. Let the children who want to keep being educated at school do so and let the others learn in work or at home or wherever. This would be an easy thing to change and costs would reduce fast.
