I'll read behind the paywall when I get back into the office Monday, but are we saying that the fallopian tubes are central to the pathogenesis of ovarian cancer?.
A new JACS article calls on all abdominal surgeons to consider elective salpingectomy at the time of abdominal surgery as an ovarian cancer prevention strategy. Read the full article at:

Super agree. Always partial to Greenfields. Straightforward read. Some other texts get a little too wordy and start to sound like a grey hair's memoir (I'm allowed to say that because the hair under my cap is nearly white these days). Also recommend the Fiser book for ABSITE prep.
Advice for new surgery interns: Reading is key. Don’t go through residency without choosing a textbook to get through yearly. It’s helped me tremendously as a consult resident and in the operating room. Promise you it makes a difference.

Listening to @BehindTheKnife #ABSITE review for @AmBdSurg QE prep on my way to work this morning. A pager goes off in trauma pt 2 and I immediately reach for my hip. Haven't worn a pager in almost a year. #pavlov #certifiednotqualified.

Seemed like a positive response at #SSO2021 to our work on using computer sim to optimize HIPEC. @hipecsurgeon we may need to start up that collab we've talked about. Have some ideas for next phase! @SPeritoneum @SocSurgOnc

So TIL sitting in the virtual green room is not any less stressful than sitting IRL waiting to be called for a session. 5 min to HIPEC talks! @hipecsurgeon @UofLDeptofSurg #SSO2021

I guess being an adult is the initial "snow day" rush you feel when you find out QE has been cancelled followed immediately by the crushing realization that I just have to study all over again #MedTwitter @AmBdSurg.

Proctortrack servers a little on the anemic side? Trying to connect for the phone video scans and getting stonewalled. @AmBdSurg @ProctortrackPro.

Not the most practice-changing article but definitely one of the most fun to be involved with. Congrats @TheKellen_Gil on a first authorship in a great journal. @EndocrineSurgKC @KU_Surgery @KUMedicine.
