#Covid_19 has shut down water fountains and restaurants that provided water to #homeless residents. Water is always needed during a heatwave but especially now. Water and ice give life. Give someone a cup or a gallon over the next few days, please. #heatwave #California

Mike Lee was an unrelenting #homeless activist. All of us are sad. We have lost so many this year Mike Zint, Margy Wilkinson, Clarke Sullivan and now Mike. Each are a part of the legacy of Berkeley that is woven in a fabric made of protest and resistance. Rest in power friends.

We urgently need more in-kind donations to support our mutual aid work. Most needed are thermostabilized ready-to-eat food (boil-in-bag pouches, cans, MREs, etc), wound care and first-aid supplies, durable synthetic sleeping bags (no cotton!), durable high-quality tents...

❤️ Dignity on Wheels! Folks are showing up, getting hot showers & washing/drying their clothes. Today they will be at Second & Cedar until 7 pm. Next they will be at Seabreeze encampment this Wednesday 3 pm - 7 pm. Thx @CityofBerkeley for getting this contract done!
