EASTER WEEKEND - we will be open Friday-Monday 12-4pm. It's the first time we've been open for 2 years to the public. Come and chat with the volunteer crew and have a tour/look around the station. We hope to see you there!

Check weather, tide and swell forecasts before you consider heading to the coast stay well back from stormy seas and breaking waves. In a coastal emergency dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard. If you end up unexpectedly in the water, stay calm and #FloatToLive.

📟SHOUT📟 - 30/9/21 - Tasked at 17:57 to a casualty in the water 'Just George' and the volunteer crew launched. Arriving on scene the casualty was safely taken onboard and returned to Brightlingsea Marina. Life saved, the lifeboat and crew returned to station.

It's not just about #savinglivesatsea. Volunteer crew member John Wiley is a finalist in the #exforcesawards. A prestigious awards ceremony showcasing those veterans who are excelling in their second career. All at West Mersea RNLI wish John the best of luck!

The lifeboat established that the vessel and persons on board were safe and well before returning to station. Alway remember to update the coastguard should the situation change.

📟SHOUT📟 - 11/6/21 - Tasked at 10.53pm 'Just George' and the volunteer crew launched to assist a speedboat aground off #waldegraves. Upon arrival at scene the vessel had refloated and was making their way back to their birth.

📟SHOUT📟 - 20/5/21 - Tasked at 11am to reports of an engine fire, 'Just George' and the volunteer crew launched. Arriving on scene the engine had overheated but was not alight. Vessel towed to Bradwell Marina before the lifeboat returned to station

'Just George' and the volunteer crew launched and upon arrival on scene, the casualty had managed to make their way to shore. Please remember to always check the weather forecast and have a means to call for help

📟SHOUT📟 - 8/5/21. Tasked at 9.55am to assist a person in a rowing dinghy, before the lifeboat could launch a passing vessel took the dinghy under tow and safely back to shore. As the colunteer crew were leaving another call came from the coastguard to assist a kite surfer.

Please remember to check tide times before travelling and never attempt to drive through the water at high tide

📟SHOUT📟 - 30/4/21 1.13am - Tasked to assist a car stook on the Strood, 'Just George' and the volunteer crew launched. On arrival the lifeboat was stood down as @ECFRS had safely evacuated the occupants.

📟SHOUT📟 18/4/21 - Tasked at 1.36pm to a jet-ski with engine failure on the #rivercolne, 'Just George' and the volunteer crew safely recovered both the craft and the person on board before returning to station
