The endangered Spoon-billed Sandpiper K9's spring migration from Thailand exceeded expectations, with a 19-day stopover in Jiangsu, China. It continued to Sakhalin & then reached a new breeding area in Russia! These insights will help inform critical conservation actions @SBS_TF

& #SAVCurlews 2023 is off! First Curlew nest found today, a clutch of three eggs belonging to a male that was headstarted from @WWTSlimbridge & his partner. White "67" as he is known, at 4 years old, becomes the second headstarted Curlew to be found nesting in our study area! 💫

Wow! What an amazing day at WWT’s Conservation Evidance Research Day, showcasing the leading evidence-based projects. I gave my first professional presentation on my research on using eDNA to identify Black-tailed godwit (Limosa limosa limosa) egg predators using eDNA techniques.

#WWTResearch aimed to understand more about how #wetlands impact health & wellbeing. Research into nature prescribing shows that time spent in nature & at #wetlands reduces symptoms of anxiety & depression, reduces social isolation & improved physical health.

Dan works on #SAVCurlews and found that not only do the tags provide great insights into the breeding behaviour of Curlew but also are a great tool for the finding of and subsequent monitoring of Curlew nests. #WWTResearch
