This Spoonie [Yellow PU] was first flagged in Jiangsu, China in Sept-2018. It was later re-sighted in Meghna Estuary, Bangladesh where it spent the winter from Nov-2019 to Mar-2020. After that, it wasn't seen again until this summer in Chukotka, Russia! Amazing results @SBS_TF

The endangered Spoon-billed Sandpiper K9's spring migration from Thailand exceeded expectations, with a 19-day stopover in Jiangsu, China. It continued to Sakhalin & then reached a new breeding area in Russia! These insights will help inform critical conservation actions @SBS_TF
