Although it’s a shame to see many fallen trees from the recent storms, a few will now have a great new purpose! This tree at one of my Natural Flood Management sites has fallen perfectly to become a natural leaky barrier and will provide new habitats and flood benefits 😃 #nfm

#Wetlands are our most valuable ecosystem with critical services for #biodiversity, health, water security and climate adaptation. But we are losing wetlands 3⃣ times faster than forests. We must accelerate actions for the conservation & #restoration of them. Via @RamsarConv

The so-called Wild Isles ‘6th episode’ is about to drop on BBC iPlayer- as soon as the 5th finishes this evening. Hats off to Sir David for telling it exactly as it is. Saving Our Wild Isles is David Attenborough’s most political show yet - New Statesman

This extra, iPlayer-only follow-up to the popular BBC series, is far more explicit about our ecological emergency and what must be done to stop it.

An absolute disgrace this is allowed to happen, especially during a year with exceptional drought conditions. Where are the organisations that are supposed to hold these companies to account? ⁦@DefraGovUK⁩ ⁦@EnvAgency⁩ ⁦@theresecoffey
