Interesting reflections on yesterday’s announcement.
The government has given the NHS £3.4bn to invest in technology transformation - with the usual mention of AI but also a big focus on completing the job of rolling out Electronic PAtient Record Systems - which is all very sensible. 🧵. The Chancellor Jeremy Hunt claimed. .

I am desperately sad that we have lost the exceptional @Mark_A_Jones_ . I had the pleasure of seeing his character and deep love for his family up close. He is an inspiration. I will cherish his final message to me forever.
I’ve just heard that we’ve lost a dear colleague @Mark_A_Jones_ to pancreatic cancer. Mark was an extraordinarily lovely, and positive person. He brought a real enthusiasm, and joy to digital informatics. He was an inspiring, detailed and considerate colleague. 1/2.
