@VincentStops @TfL @DaveHill @EllyBakerAM @ZoeBillingham Isn’t it amazing! All those cycle lanes, 20mph zones, changes to the Highway Code, increased passing distance for cars… it is time to talk accountability of the TFL management.

New! From @TfL’s own road safety dashboard. There were as many killed and serious cyclist injuries in the first 7 months of 2025 than the whole of 2017. The risk of a serious cyclist injury per journey in London is higher than 2015.

BIG WIN today for Hackney from our @UKLabour Government! 🚨 This is a 25% rise ⬆️ in our core funding. @HackneyLabour fought for this - and we’ll keep delivering for residents👇

For the avoidance of any doubt the @MayorofLondon has made no progress at all on his No. 1 transport strategy aim “…for 80 per cent of all trips in London to be made on foot, by cycle or using public transport by 2041”. The policy was adopted in 2018.

.@TfL have a gold standard cycle count of 1400 sites across London from which they can estimate Kms cycled per weekday. They no longer publish it, but it’s interesting. It shows lower increases in cycling than their preferred measure.

Will you sign this petition from @gdcampaigns? We're calling for a pause on bus stops that put people with sight loss in harm's way.

There was no tweet about changing the target in 2023 because they would have failed to meet it: “Improving the way we monitor cycling”! @Willnorman found a way of increasing the journeys by 60% in 2023. He now has an easier target for 2030.
📢New data shows London cycling is soaring: 📈 12% up from last year to 1,500,000 daily journeys 📈 that's 43% up from 2019 🚲Cycleway Network grows to 431km (up from 90km in 2016) 😎 & 76% of London cyclists feel safe our routes 🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲 https://t.co/LT1VMzKJLQ

.@Gails_Bakery seem to think they own the pavement. In fact it’s public highway and @hackneycouncil has banned A-boards on the public highway for years and they don’t issue A-board licenses. Do object to application 2025/2397

Question 8 and we're back on buses. Let's be honest - how much of a difference can 1mph really make??? #FreeTheBus

Is this the same @ZoeGarbett and @hackneygreens that ran such a fraudulent campaign against a longstanding, but inactive friendship twinning arrangenment between Hackney and Haifa for party political point scoring purposes?

Here is @willnorman and his fit young mates having a great time of it, but knowing there are blind people throughout London he is excluding from bus services that are vital to them. Shame on Will!
The route along Deptford Church St connects up Cycleway 4 on Creek Road to Deptford Bridge and Lewisham College - making the streets safer and enabling more people to cycle in South East London.

Dear @Brenda_Dacres @LouiseKrupski @willnorman, how are blind people supposed to use these bus stop bypasses when they can’t see or hear cycles? You have excluded the blind people who need the buses because then can’t cycle or drive from your bus network.
Absolutely delighted to join @Brenda_Dacres @LouiseKrupski & @LewishamCouncil team to celebrate the opening of the amazing new cycle lanes along Deptford Church Street. 🚲protected lanes 🌱☔️ planting & rain gardens 🚦pedestrian crossings 🚌bus stop bypasses

Employing cycle fanatics to run streets policy for London has been a disaster. There’s nothing amazing about introducing two-way cycle tracks into cities and degrading the city’s street environment and bus networks.

The final deception of the cycle lobby on floating bus stops (and others too scared to call them out) is to say design can fix it. They have had a decade to come up with something that works and they are nowhere near close to them being inclusive.
.@Keir_Starmer @LordPeterHendy @simonlightwood @Heidi_Labour @LilianGreenwood when are you going to understand floating bus stops do not work ‘Coaches boycott floating bus stop over safety fears’

@theJeremyVine @LBofHounslow @katherinedunne @HounslowCycling @_Dermatologist @ChiswickW4 @TheChiswickCal Yes. Here's the but. Those floating bus stops are a disaster, I've had to install lights and reflective stickers on our newborn babies buggy as people aren't paying attention. As a cyclist myself I think everyone in W4 needs to do a cycling proficiency test.
