Great data presented by @VScarf on outcomes of women birthing at home vs birth centre vs home birth. Hopefully one day will help contribute to changing place of birth from a best practice, satisfaction and financial perspective #ACM2021

New technology provides information to midwives who support women with complex pregnancies. But with all this data, how do we stay focussed on the woman's needs? Dr @debjfox, Dr @Bec_Coddington and Dr @VScarf at @UTSEngage are finding answers. @UTS_Health https://t.co/2vLZQIo9zQ

Meta-analysis from @TheLancet of half a million mothers booked for #homebirth found: 40% <needed CS; 50% <likely to have instrumental; 55% <likely to have episiotomy; 40% <likely to have 3rd/4th degree tear; 75% <likely to have infection even if they gave birth in hospital. Wow!
