It was an honour to be asked to speak at the service this morning to mark the 110th Anniversary of Arthur Frederick Saunders of the 9th (Service) Battalion, Suffolk Regiment, earning his Victoria Cross at Loos. The blue plaque now marks the house he and Edith were able to buy in
A lovely small service this morning at 354, Foxhall Road, Ipswich - the house bought by Sgt Arthur Saunders, VC, with the money raised for him by the people of Ipswich. A huge thank you to Hayley and her Sister for their hospitality, and to Dave Empson for organising.
