During Congressional Gold Medal ceremony for Jan. 6 police, representatives of those receiving awards shake hands with Schumer then walk past McConnell and McCarthy.

In a stunning show of solidarity during a dark day here, thousands of Virginia students have descended on the school’s South Lawn to sit in complete silence at a vigil for those killed last night. I’ve never seen anything like it.
