Tomorrow is the third @UofT_DoM #WAMPLUS led by @susannamak @UmberinNajeeb – Why WAM +? Cuz our style is inclusive - we want to broaden the tent, elevate all boats, listen to all people & help find solutions. we learned a lot from the first two - time to spread.

We open private centres for joint replacement but 30-40% people having surgery havent had appropriate trial of non-sx rx & we provide no coverage for effective therapies like Physio and Topical NSAIDs (cover oral NSAIDs, which have higher adverse effects) @UofT_DoM.
Most hospital operating rooms sit empty after 3:30. No need for costly construction, just staffing with nursing & teams. Staff all OR’s to 7:30 pm, & we could complete 50% more cases. Add staffing for some weekend time, and do even more. …all within the current infrastructure….

Another highlight of my visit to @UnityHealthTO St Michael's was sitting in on debrief of simulation arrest ran by #nataliewong & team in ICU - impressed ++ Would have loved such opportunities when I was a PGY1-2!! @UofT_DoM Thanks Folks

Happy Birthday's are in order for our colleagues Maame and Dr. Katz🎂! We had a great time ringing in the early days of spring with a variety of baked goods and fruit. After much debate in the office of macaroons vs. macarons, we had a good time eating both and celebrating!
