Great to see this being shared in the past week. Not a time goes by on service where we don't discuss safe deprescribing. Hopefully this will be a useful resource for patients and their providers. @DrToddLee @DrEmilyMcD.@uoftmedicine @ClinPharm_UofT.

3 days to go to apply for our 6 CMR positions @uoftmedicine. Remains one of the most important years of my training and getting to work with the CMRs is undoubtedly the most meaningful part of my job today. @tsengeric @LMelvinMD @zacfeilchenfeld @gill_spiegle @BJGoldlist.

Witnessing the joy of med students taking care of patients for the first time is one of the best reminders of why we went into medicine. Team 8 peeps you know who you are. @Derek_Leong_RPh @dmeschino @SonieyaNagaraj1 @uoftmedicine.

It is awful this is still going on. But we do have more, and know more as we brace to treat our patients in this next wave. This time around we are vaccinated, we have more treatments than before, we have experience. And we continue to have each other for support.

On that note, all HCWs need all the help they can get. Faculty, residents, nurses, allied health. Grateful to @UHN and @UofT_DoM where I work to have the support we have. Strong leadership, resources, communication go a long way to make us feel safe.

So whatever we can do to reduce the burden of COVID so that we can care for everyone, should be done. Get vaccinated, get your 3rd dose, limit your contacts. I know people are tired of this. but if you think you're fatigued, think of our patients, of all health care workers.

It is worth mentioning from an MD standpoint, the academic hospitals really run on the strength of our residents. And the holidays are always a vulnerable time as we operate with half of our usual complement as everyone is given well-deserved, much needed time off.
