The accusation of antisemitism has been weaponized, frequently by people who are not even Jewish themselves (same pattern hold for islamophobia, btw). This might have very ugly consequences one day, of a "boy who cried wolf" variety :-/

I wish I could upvote you several times. I have a burning hatred for scrum, and I believe every single one of its creators deserves to be punished.
@svpino
Well the whole thing is glorified prompt engineering combined with the greatest marketing this side of Apple - so it might take a while for the flush to happen.

In the words of one of my fav Marvel characters: An empire toppled by its enemies can rise again. But one which crumbles from within? That's dead. Forever.

I get bros before hoes, but breaking the seal of confession is a pretty epic nono - no matter what she pulled off. As in: excommunication level NO.
@ylecun
This tweet proves you can be an absolutely brilliant pioneer in one field, and - to put it respectfully - not quite that brilliant outside of it.
@EU_Commission
You lot are beyond contempt: first you pass the legislation that demolishes AI in the EU, in a secret "trilogue" - and have the chutzpah to accuse anyone of lack of transparency?
Shame on you.

Given: 1. the ego density per cubic meter at OpenAI 2. cult-like characteristics ("feel the agi" chanting, as per The Atlantic article) and 3. government funding connections? I don't think emergent capabilities are needed to explain this ****show.
@BGatesIsaPyscho
Aren't they protesting against AfD? This has a very different vibe than the farmer protests - and purely based on "gegen Faschismus alle zusammen" it's kinda hard to infer...

I am not buying into the whole "anybody can be a developer because no code" narrative. It will merely allow people to do stupid stuff a lot faster - kind of like Excel on steroids.

Producing such imagery is easy (see below), but producing her images in different locations means either 1. smb cracked the consistent character problem in text-to-image 2. they are generating at scale, and manually selecting most similar ones.
Obviously 1 is more impressive

Selective memory: level Russia. Soviet Union was bff with the Third Reich between 1923 and 1941, and no amount of Kremlin propaganda can erase that.

He has two children I think, and are you absolutely sure this is the same person ? There is a long list of issues about Peterson, but I don't think this is one of them.

Can there be something specific about US as a destination? I live in NL and vacations within Europe or to Asia are nothing special (with the exception of Japan, which is fairly expensive both to get to and to spend time there).

Brannagh was great as Heydrich, but I was utterly blown away by Colin Firth as Stuckart - especially the part where he gives his rationale for the extermination from a position of intellectual superiority, berating the others for how primitive and thuggish they are.
@svpino
I agree, but one must start gently: if you expose ppl to the reality (biz starts demanding increase in sales / profit / whatever, and only after 3 meetings and 4 zooms do you find out there is *no* data and it's your job to gather it) too early, everyone will run to the hills.

"OpenAI is owned by a nonprofit" - for a company locked in a frenemy relationship with OpenAI, you'd think the guy would be slightly better informed. Alas, poor Yorrick...

“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary.” - H.L. Mencken wrote this in 1918, so the problem has been there for a very long time.

As a Pole, I was always jealous (in the "I wish we had done it too" sense) of the way Romanians handled exit communism and it's a pity Jaruzelski didn't share Ceausescu's fate. Can I mention that your revolution also produced one of the most metal photographs of all time?

EU accession requires unbelievable amounts of documentation, which I seriously doubt anybody reads completely end-to-end. Using ChatGPT to produce the filler content people are almost sure to gloss over? Perfect use case - and if you're caught, you'll just have to resubmit.

Tbh I have not read them the paper either - but the tweets compilation of Mr Krawczyk was not exactly awash with ambiguity, so I was confident that it was a feature, not a bug. The guy is a senior director of product AND head of Gemini experience, for crying out loud.

Well, the question is what is a worse disaster to recover from: the October Revolution + WW2 + stalinism combo - or two centuries of British occupation. Not obvious.
