Just back from a visit to Darfur, Sudan, @UNReliefChief described the situation in El Fasher as a horror show and a crime scene. He called for the Security Council and Member States to be more clear on the need for humanitarian access, protection of civilians & accountability.

Students from the University of Maryland visited the United Nations Information Center (UNIC) to hear from three senior officials from UNIC as well as @UNDP and @UNOPS . They discussed the state of the United Nations as well as getting a career within the UN.

I came to Sudan to listen. At Al Afad camp, I met families who fled Al Fasher. A mother who lost her husband and children. Girls just nine years old now displaced and traumatized. 30M people need aid. 10M are displaced. Sudan’s crisis is deepening. The world must not look away.
