I’ve said this a few times, but between lottery reform and the CBA, I’m afraid we’re creating this environment where the Thunder and Spurs got to build their teams as they saw fit and then the rules change immediately after making it harder for anyone to build to oppose them.
The 2 teams with the best shot at sustainable success in this cap environment (OKC & SAS) got there by losing a ton of games, trading players for picks, and hitting on said picks It’s been a copycat league for decades; no surprise that others would try to follow that model.

Hey Bobby… maybe sit this one out. You have no clue what paying this is like and your amnesia this week is comical.
Tanking fines is like paying the luxury tax in the prior CBA. If it gives you a competitive advantage, or in this case, a chance to draft (and keep) an impact player, billionaire owners will pay the fine. Now if we start taking away roster resources, that’s a different story.
