The perception of IQ as a seemingly objective measure of intelligence is frequently used to promote racist pseudoscience on social media. For this reason, I think it's extremely important for people to know some relevant facts about IQ:

Economics has always been about maximising benefit for people.
Reminding folks that slavery was **terrible** for economic growth and development; we are absolutely worse off today due to slavery having existed. The origin of economics being labeled “the dismal science” was for speaking this inconvenient truth to (slave-owning) powers.

this isn't a judgement about whether the cuts are right or wrong - just pointing out the logical fallacies people are making. it is still a progressive tax system. How progressive it should be is a different argument.

I see arguments that ppl on 45k will be paying the same tax rate as people on 200k. They don't now and they won't after. 45k you pay 11.3% income tax. For 200k, ppl on 200k are paying 30%, they will still pay 26% after the tax cuts.
