I was worried about RFK Jr, and still am, because personally he's a kook. But he's brought on very bright people, who might have a great impact. Still, I'm worried that he ends up just discrediting the informed voices who try to warn against too much medical intervention.
Deborah, RFK Jr is an unqualified menace to the health of Americans and to untold hundreds of thousands living in the global south.

I don't shy away from medical controversies, so at times I get strange reactions. Still, nothing beats the guy who tagged my hospital's account to show them three or four perfectly sensible statements I'd made about COVID.

This research involved using petri dishes to show growth of fungal organisms on semen. My colleague tried to explain this was almost certainly an environmental contaminant. The kicker? He'd been able to demonstrate such growth on semen samples from FIVE volunteers (!?).

Funny story about this. My colleague met a guy at a party who said he did biomedical research. "Oh cool". It turned out this guy was doing it in his basement, working on his theory that prostate cancer was caused by fungal infections.
Mold. Mold is the new thing now. Everything can be explained by Mold.
