“Run, Tom, run,” the law commands; but gives us neither feet nor hands. Far better news the gospel brings: It bids us fly and gives us wings.

Once a vibrant street in Philadelphia, now a Zombie Apocalypse. This is coming to Arizona if we don’t get serious about tackling the real issues. READ HERE: ⤵️ https://t.co/iaGSW2ufxE

Wolfe’s Christian Nationalism may have enjoyed some time in the sun pre-release—and it may still in some popular circles—but these kinds of brilliant and mercenary academic reviews are going to keep coming. The project is intellectually destitute.

Another reason we must pray for our PM: we want to live peaceful lives—but @JustinTrudeau does not seem to be seeking such a life for the citizens of Canada.

Are we beginning to see the birth of a "conservative" social gospel? Kingdom of God = political movements. Gospel is no longer central in the kingdom.

Man, I love the Puritans. This is from 1671, from a little screed called "Divine Examples of God's Severe Judgements upon Sabbath-Breakers".

A careful, fair, but absolutely devastating review of Joe Boot’s “Mission of God” by @ianclary over @mereorthodoxy focusing on the thing that made me slam the book down 1/4 of the way through: sloppy history/sourcing etc on Puritanism. Worth your time!
