Decellularized some muscle for SEM analysis of the extracellular matrix. I think it came out pretty sick!!. #myotwitter

What a great way to end the week! Thanks for selecting our paper as an #APSselect paper!.
Congrats to Thomas D. Cardaci et al. for the #APSselect paper "Decreased skeletal muscle intramyocellular lipid droplet-mitochondrial contact contributes to myosteatosis in cancer cachexia" in @ajpcellphys.@TomCardaci @UofSCSOMC.

Thanks for highlighting our recent paper!.
#APSselect study from @AJPCellPhys finds cancer-induced muscle wasting (#cachexia) causes impairment of lipid droplets and mitochondrial function, which makes fat form around the muscles. Findings could help inform cancer treatment: CC: @AJPCellEIC

Thanks for sharing our recent paper @musclecellnews !.
This study led by Dr. @TomCardaci provides evidence that skeletal muscle #myosteatosis, altered LD morphology, and decreased LD-mitochondrial interactions occur in a preclinical model of cancer #cachexia. 📰 Find the abstract in @AJPCellPhys:

Excited to share the 2nd paper of my F31/dissertation. We found decreases in intramyocellular lipid droplet-mitochondrial contact and changes in lipid droplet shape contribute to myosteatosis w/cachexia. Thankful for all involved!.@AJPCellPhys #myotwitter.
