Traditional clustering and visualization approaches in human genetics often operate under frameworks that assume inherent, discrete groupings[1][1],[2][2]. These methods can inadvertently simplify...

There are more captive tigers than wild tigers on Earth. A study of the genetic diversity of captive tigers finds that they are not more inbred than wild tigers but do not represent a reservoir of genetic diversity that has been lost in the wild. In PNAS: https://t.co/oa55OpQJTk

Super excited this work with @_ellie_cat is finally out. Hopefully the first (publishing wise) of many collabs 😎

Excited to share this new preprint with @spence_jeffrey_ and @DocEdge85 in which we developed a method to infer demographic history and mutation rates from millions of genomes, and applied it to gnomAD v4 data. Read on for a brief thread! https://t.co/gLVQ77Sa5M

GWAS on EA/IQ are today's version of Morton's craniometry studies, imo. Every time I see these terrible papers pop-up, I wonder how we stop people from pursuing such fundamentally flawed "research" that is often steeped in racial biases & completely lacking scientific rigor.

Excited to share the last paper from my PhD, advised by @spence_jeffrey_ and @jkpritch! We explore a new way to study selection on complex traits that circumvents some of the most troublesome limitations of GWAS https://t.co/bGFtmwz2ia (1/9)

Natural selection on complex traits is difficult to study in part due to the ascertainment inherent to genome-wide association studies (GWAS). The power to detect a trait-associated variant in GWAS...
