The PM is often heard saying "we have done more on problem gambling than any other government". It's not untrue, but it's a big stretch - they've implemented policy work started under the last govt, not the Murphy Report. Importantly, none of the policies they have implemented

It’s 431 days since the Independent Panel for Gambling Reform handed its report and recommendations to the NSW Government. And still no response. It’s 951 days since the Murphy Inquiry final report was tabled in Federal Parliament. Still no response. Not. Good. Enough.

Gambling harm is causing a public health catastrophe in Australia, all while governments do too little to address it. It leaves me mad as hell.

I think Australians are more worried about how gambling advertising is hurting our young people than how a ban could impact sporting codes and media companies. We need to put people first and implement the Murphy Report’s 3 year phased in ban on all gambling ads. A small levy

Back from LSL, and I’m back on here! Had a wonderful (rare) time with family over Christmas, then a month road tripping down to Tassie (epic coasts at Wombats on the overland track!) and back via Kossi! Long service leave is such a gift. Feeling ready for the next 10 years! 😀
