This arrived by mail at my college today. It’s never too late to return a library book. Even after 25 years. Even from overseas. Bless you, Isaac!

This week I heard someone praise Perth's public transport system, which is frankly, hilarious. My son missed a bus today b/c his app misinformed him re. the expected ETA. Next bus not due for 1 hour. On a week day. In a city of +2mil. Only viable option was to get an Uber.đŸ«

So also, South Korea. Some villages haven’t seen a single birth since the 1988 Seoul Olympics, and schools in rural areas are being shuttered for lack of enrolments. “Kid-free zones” are increasingly common (as in, “You aren’t welcome here w/ your kids). It’s cultural suicide.

I have been posting repeatedly on X about the extraordinarily fast collapse of births across the planet: in rich and poor countries, in fast-growing and slow-growing economies, in religious and secular societies, under right-wing and left-wing governments, with high taxes and

One of the strongest arguments for teaching classic literature is simply this: If students are never asked to inhabit minds from other times and cultures, they will confuse their own narrow historical moment with universal truth. The canon is an antidote to chronological

As such, those who would oppose interracial marriages are, in reality, seeking to rebuild that which God in Christ rightly destroyed; they do not represent Christ or his kingdom, and are teaching & acting in ways that are fundamentally anti-Christ. /END

Now, if Christ has destroyed that barrier of hostility & made for himself one humanity in Christ, it stands to reason that one should expect to see that new multi-ethnic reality expressed not only the broader church community, but in Christian marriages as well... /4

To American Evangelicals who want to oppose interracial marriage: have at it if you must, but you CANNOT pull it off w/ sound Christian/Biblical theology. The Trinitarian God of the Bible is the God of all nations & in Jesus Christ he has destroyed the barrier of hostility... /1

A note for American evangelicals: You don’t need to caveat inter-racial marriage. It’s fine. Great actually. Can’t believe it has to be said. đŸ«
