It is hard to believe flying Ā£2 garments from China makes business sense unless they have a surplus of production. If so, UK consumers are essentially on welfare from the Chinese state. Might not be the worst thing in the short term. Long term this level of dependence is toxic.
Moreover, the air freight sector is booming. It's creating hundreds of jobs. Regional airports like Bournemouth, Prestwick etc are dependent on it. Remove the loophole and they all suffer. So this is not simple. Does govt prioritise domestic production or cheap consumption?

Two fast thoughts: . 1. Conservatives are getting really good at doing video content, I suspect via the age old trick of spending money on it. 2. Conservatives have learnt nothing from Lab 2010-19 about the dangers of slamming your own record in Government.
Most migrants can get Indefinite Leave to Remain after 5 years. It means they can stay here forever. And claim welfare, social housing and free healthcare. Millions of recent migrants didnāt come to work. Giving them ILR will cost us hundreds of billions. We mustnāt do it.
