@MelanieLeahy @honeylyttle1 It is a massive eye opener when you realise the abusive treatment as you go through the system which is not isolated to NHS. My case began 7 years ago and has involved many additional organisations including ICO, CQC, HMCTS, PHSO, The Council, Housing Support. There is a pattern

At first they dont reply back to you, hoping to make any complaint out of time, then that same cycle is repeated with other complaints mechanisms, then they use time to wear you out, both physically & mentally. This is iatrogenic, and we all have a case

Face down restraint is WORSE THAN BEING RAPED I've lost count of the times I've had prone face down restraint with trousers pulled down and needle up my arse, I've also been raped so I can say the restraint is worse as the drugs last longer and restraint involves more people!
The news about prone restraint is important. I want to tell you that it’s left Emily with significant trauma. It’s taken 2 years & a dedicated team to enable her to trust again. My heart broke when I found out. I’ll never forgive myself. We need assurances that this practice ends

Shocking report. We routinely treat people with learning disability as second class citizens breaching their human rights.
bbc.co.uk
There has been a sharp rise in the use of restraints on adults with learning disabilities in England.
