The FAA has issued a directive expanding its grounding/inspection order to include DC & MD-10s as well which affects the fleets of 10Tanker and Omega Air Refueling/META. If the grounding continues into wildfire season, there will be no VLATs in service.
The FAA has issued a MAJOR addendum to the MD-11 Emergency Airworthiness Directive. - Now it include all DC/MD-10 variants. Only time will tell but this could be a death blow for the tri holers. :/
